SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Syllabus 2018-19

Staff Commission Selection has prescribed the syllabus of SSC Stenographer 2018. SSC Stenographer syllabus 2018 for computer based test (CBT) includes topics under General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and comprehension.Before getting into the detailed SSC Stenographer Syllabus, you need to have a clear idea about the SSC Stenographer exam pattern.

SSC Stenographer exam is conducted in two stages :

 SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern
Stage 1 Computer Based Test
 Stage 2 Skill Test

The Computer Based Test (CBT) has 3  sections as tabulated below:

The Computer Based Test will contain MCQs and is of 2 hours duration. There is negative marking for incorrect answers; o.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

SSC Stenographer SyllabusThe Skill Test is conducted to test the speed of candidates in noting down dictations. Candidates must have knowledge of shorthand (use of abbreviations and symbols to quickly note down what is being spoken). Candidates will be given 10 minute dictations in English and Hindi to note down. The expected speed is 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C posts and 80 words per minute for Grade D posts.
